The Power Stuff
These tubes are built to handle the heavy lifting. We’re talking high voltage and serious wattage to get that ink set fast. To keep things from warping when it gets scorching in there, we use high-purity quartz glass. When you flip the switch, the heat hits exactly where it needs to, curing your ink in seconds. Just a heads-up: because these pack a punch, make sure your electrical panels can handle the surge. It’s a lot of power, but that’s what makes the production speed possible.
What’s Inside the Glass
We use a halogen-filled quartz envelope. Why? Because it stops the tungsten filament from evaporating too quickly. This means you won’t see that annoying blackening on the glass. We also added a specific coating to shift the IR spectrum. Instead of just heating up the air around the shirt, the heat actually sinks into the fabric. Plus, the connectors are machined to be a tight fit. You don’t want any gaps—loose fits lead to arcing, and arcing leads to a dead lamp way sooner than it should.
Real-World Tips
Switching to a high-performance alternative is a great way to cut down your maintenance costs. You get the heat you need without the “brand name” tax. But keep in mind, these things runhot. If your conveyor is crawling or your cooling fans are choked with lint, you might overheat the housing. Keep an eye on your timer settings, too.
