If you’re dealing with a setup that needs to get hot—and get hot fast—you know how frustrating traditional heaters can be. They take forever to warm up. That’s why we built this 360mm carbon fiber tube. Instead of the usual metal alloys, we use a carbon fiber filament tucked inside a quartz sleeve. It’s a different approach, and it works. The power side of things Packing 1000W into a 360mm length means you’re getting a serious amount of heat in a very small area. It’s great for when your cycle times are tight and you can’t afford to sit around waiting for a heater to catch up. If you’re squeezed for space but still need a massive amount of heat throughput, this is your best bet. Why carbon fiber? Think of the carbon fiber core as the engine. It uses infrared radiation to do the heavy lifting. Since carbon fiber doesn’t hold onto heat the way nichrome wire does, it hits its operating temperature almost the second you flip the switch. The quartz sleeve is there to keep the filament from oxidizing and to make sure those IR waves actually hit your target. One heads-up:**quartz is fragile.**If your machine shakes or vibrates a lot, please use dampened mounts. If you don’t, the glass will crack, and then you’ve got a problem. Making it work in your shop Getting these wired up is easy, but you have to be careful with the power. 1000W is a lot of draw. I highly recommend using PID controllers so you don’t overshoot your target temperature and cook something. Also, try not to run them at 100% all the time. You’ll burn through the filament much faster. Here’s the honest trade-off: these aren’t tanks. They can’t take a beating like a stainless steel heater can. But if you’re doing PET blowing or rapid drying, the energy you save on warm-up times makes the extra care worth it. Just keep your reflectors clean. A little bit of dust on that quartz can create hot spots, and that’s usually how these tubes burn out early. Keep it shiny, and they’ll last.
