Let’s talk about our 750mm Carbon Fiber Heating Tubes
If you’ve ever dealt with standard quartz lamps, you know they have their limits. They just can’t always handle high-density thermal loads without struggling. That’s why we built these 1200W carbon fiber tubes. At 220V and 750mm long, they hit that sweet spot where you get plenty of power but the heat stays even across the whole surface. The guts of the thing Here is the real win: we swapped out the usual tungsten for carbon fiber filaments. Why? Because carbon fiber can take the heat. It doesn’t just “burn out” like those cheaper coils you find everywhere. Since you’re pushing 1200W over 750mm, you get a steady flow of heat. No crazy hot spots that warp your workpieces. Just a clean, consistent glow. One tip: wire this into your 220V circuit, but please, use a PID controller. You don’t want the temperature overshooting and causing a headache. The SK15 connection We use SK15 ceramic end caps on these. We chose ceramic because plastic just doesn’t cut it—it would melt under this kind of thermal load. These caps make the tube feel solid. They handle vibrations well and fit snugly, so if you’re swapping these into an existing industrial setup, they just slide right in. No fuss. Using them in the real world You’ll mostly find these in plastic curing lines or PET bottle blowing. The magic here is the infrared radiation. It doesn’t just sit on the surface; it actually sinks deep into the polymers. But, a word of caution. A 750mm tube puts out a lot of radiant heat. If your machine housing isn’t vented properly, the air inside is going to get hot—fast. That can mess with your sensors. Make sure your cooling fans are up to the task of handling 1200W. And one last thing. Be gentle. The filament inside is a beast, but the quartz envelope is fragile. One wrong move or a hard bump, and the whole thing shatters. Handle them with care.
