This simple switch changes the wavelength of the heat, letting it sink deep into your material rather than just sizzling the top layer.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Getting the heat right&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Your wattage and voltage are what drive the heat flux. If you go with a high-wattage tube, you&amp;rsquo;ll see a much faster ramp-up.&#xA;We&amp;rsquo;re pretty picky about the carbon filaments we use because we want the heat to be steady across the whole tube. No one wants &amp;ldquo;hot spots&amp;rdquo; warping their workpieces. Just a heads-up: be careful with your power supply. If you over-volt these things, you&amp;rsquo;ll pop the filament instantly. It&amp;rsquo;s not a mistake you want to make.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The nuts and bolts&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;The quartz tube isn&amp;rsquo;t just for show—it keeps the carbon fiber from oxidizing. We use high-grade stuff so the glass doesn&amp;rsquo;t crack when the temperature swings wildly.&#xA;Depending on your setup, we can do R7s or SK15 bases, which makes swapping them out a breeze. And if your machines vibrate a lot, please,&lt;strong&gt;double-check your mounting clips&lt;/strong&gt;. A loose tube is a tube that rattles—and a tube that rattles eventually snaps.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Putting them to work&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;These are a lifesaver for things like PET blowing, curing paint, or running drying lines. Because the FIR wavelength goes deeper into polymers and coatings, you can actually speed up your conveyor belt without worrying about burning the outside of your product.&#xA;One thing to keep in mind: these lamps put out a lot of ambient heat.&#xA;You&amp;rsquo;ll need to make sure your housing has plenty of ventilation and your cooling fans can keep up. If the back of the housing gets too hot, your electrical leads will give out way sooner than they should. Use high-temperature silicone cabling so you don&amp;rsquo;t end up with melted insulation.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
